CAMERON SALOMON

Growing up in the coastal mountains of the San Francisco Peninsula, Cameron Salomon developed a love for plants at an early age, starting her first herb garden as a young teenager and shortly after her first veggie garden. Since 2003, Cameron has been cultivating her knowledge on sustainable farming practices and herbalism, which have taken her to 5 countries, living and working on organic farms and multiple educational centers teaching youth and adults about sustainable agriculture. In 2014 she began her immersion studies at the California School of Herbal Studies, in Sonoma County, California, where she spent 2 years learning from her teachers and the plants, in the classroom, the apothecary and in the school’s medicinal demonstration garden. In 2016, she moved back to the Santa Cruz area to study Ayurveda at the Mount Madonna Institute, where she became a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. Cameron is also a certified Permaculture Designer and Santa Cruz County 'Master Composter'. Her lifelong dream of starting a plant nursery broke ground in 2018, creating Kindred Herbs, a small speciality nursery devoted to growing medicinal plants from around the world.
